Last week I had to take an upclose picture of a flower and paint it in a very Georgia Okeefe way. Below I have my picture I took and the finished painting! I think It turned out very nice, and I enjoy her style a lot. These will be hung up as a "collection" in City Hall!!
Started this in class last week! I finally finished this weekend. I really like how it turned out :)
Attempting to use pastel in a more artistic way! This was a sketch I just colored using pastels! Adding some surrealism by having the center of the flower be an eyeball!
I had to look at a shoe, draw it, and then turn it into an abstract piece of art! Below is the final pencil drawing, and what it looks like now after I finished! Done in pastel :)
Here's a project that we were instructed to create based on a piece we did in beginning art. Working on parallel lines and three dimension to create this unique box picture. The new touch was to add color and and shading on the boxes! This is what I finished...
For this collage, we had very few rules; no creating any actual image (abstract-ish) and our final result needed to represent one of the 6 elementss of design. I started out with the idea of texture as my focus, however as I laid out all the bits and pieces of the texture photos on the table that I had ripped out of magazines, I began to realize all the color in the pictures! I emphasized the cool colors on one side and warm colors on the other, grouping them in color patches~ overlapping them to also form a unique design. The black and white copy on the right is suppose to show the value that color shows. Notice how all the warm colors are similar in shade, you almost can't tell red from yellow, and the same with the cool colors in that they look dark.
